TL;DR: Check out Storybuilder, and create fun, personalized stories for the kids in your life.
I love building things. And I love my kids. Definitely not in that order.
Around a year and a half ago, as I began diving down the rabbit trail on LLMs, AI, and ChatGPT, I had a thought. The LLMs kept hallucinating, and I was trying to think of some contexts in which hallucination could be a good thing.
Then, I was interrupted by one of my sons. He wanted to read a book, again. The same one we read an hour ago.
Of course, I wasn’t going to deny my son his reading time, and I do genuinely enjoy reading with my kids. But later that afternoon I thought to myself, “What if my kids could have storytime with custom stories, crafted specifically for their interests? Isn’t this the sort of thing LLMs should be good at?”
Introducing Storybuilder
A few minutes later, I had stood up the rails of a site and connected to the ChatGPT API. Then came the fun part:
I recruited my then 6 and 9 (now 8 and 11) year old sons to help me build the site. It was so fun! I taught them about all the various components of a tech company. It’s not just about the technology. You have to design it, and market it, and measure usage, and sell it (if you want to make money). They learned a ton, and I did too!
I took feature request upon feature request from my kids, and they helped strategize about the direction to take the site. They also did a lot of the site design work. They were great partners! Thanks, Max and Asher!
Now, you get to see the fruits of our labor. Check out Storybuilder, and write a personalized story for the kids in your life.
