Five teams from the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.indiana.edu\/\">IU<\/a> <a href=\"http:\/\/www.informatics.indiana.edu\/\">Informatics<\/a> <a href=\"http:\/\/hcid.informatics.indiana.edu\/\">HCI\/d<\/a> program were chosen for the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.chi2007.org\/\">CHI 2007<\/a> <a href=\"http:\/\/www.chi2007.org\/submit\/designcomp.php\">Student Design Competition<\/a>. Let&#8217;s review the participants and outcomes in all of the previous SDC&#8217;s:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>2006<\/strong> &#8211; 2 teams selected from IU, one of which won the competition<\/li>\n<li><strong>2005 <\/strong>&#8211; 4 teams selected, one of which won the competition<\/li>\n<li><strong>2004<\/strong> &#8211; 2 teams selected, one of which took second place in a gut-wrenching tie-breaker, the other team took fourth<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>It looks like we have quite a tradition here&#8230;Best of luck to the IU teams. I&#8217;m sure you&#8217;ll all represent as the great designers I&#8217;m sure you all are.
